So, the news is in a new baby is on the way. DO NOT be afraid to ask for help especially from those that have been here before, (They get it) The first 6 weeks as a friend once told me can be tough, like really tough! Do not get me wrong it's an incredible, momentous, beautiful time but it also comes with sleep deprivation, google searches at 3am, tiffs with your partner, a few tears and probably an empty stomach because you forgot to feed yourself.
Whether you are breast feeding, bottle feeding, doing cloth or disposable nappies there is a lot to do and a lot to adjust to. Finding time for tedious things like the washing, emptying the dishwasher or ever brushing your hair can be tough, so reaching out is super important. Once you are through this 6 weeks it somehow all just feels more natural and I guess you get yourself and new family into a groove.
So whether you are as stubborn as me or not make sure you ask and receive help. Trust me these few weeks will be a lot smoother even if it is just asking your MIL emptying the dishwasher, IT WILL HELP!
So while your here, enjoy this newborn bubble. It does not last so cherish all the little spews and poos whilst you get to know each other. After all there is NOT a love like it!
