When Should I Book My Newborn Session?
Newborns are ideally photographed between 5 and 21 days old, when they are still in their naturally sleepy, curled-up stage.
To ensure you secure a guaranteed spot with Alana, it’s highly recommended to book during your pregnancy. Waiting until after your baby arrives can make scheduling difficult, and may risk missing that perfect window for achieving those beautiful, authentic newborn poses.
After three weeks, babies are often more alert, harder to settle, and may start experiencing colic or newborn acne - all of which can impact the final look of your images.
Booking early ensures we capture your little one at their most peaceful, dreamy stage.
Securing Your Newborn Photography Session Before Baby Arrives
Limited slots are offered each month for Newborn Photography, and we strongly advise securing your session as early as possible, as dates tend to fill up quickly!
If you don't book before your baby arrives, there's a higher likelihood that I may not be able to accommodate newborn photos, making it advisable to secure your spot in advance.
To confirm your session, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of booking. This deposit ensures the reservation of your spot for the scheduled newborn photography session once baby is born

- All sessions are held in my purpose-built home studio located in Clyde.
- I currently do not offer in-home photography sessions.
- Newborn sessions are scheduled on weekdays during school hours.
- Weekends are reserved for precious family time and are not available for bookings.
