Booking: What Are the Steps to Book in My Due Date / Newborn Session?Don’t stress about the unpredictable timing of your baby’s arrival—they love to make their grand entrance on their own schedule! Once your little one has made their earthside arrival, just reach out to me within 48 hours, and we can schedule your session within the first three weeks of their birth INTERESTED IN BOOKING A NEWBORN SESSION FOR WHEN BABY ARRIVES? Booking: Is it possible to Book a Newborn Session if my baby has already been born?Absolutely! If your baby has already arrived, don't worry - we can still schedule a newborn session. I recommend reaching out as soon as possible. Ideally, we like to book sessions within the first three weeks of your baby’s life to capture those adorable sleepy poses. Just send me a message, and I’ll check my availability! However, if your baby is over three weeks old please get incontact asap so I can check my availabilty. I work with older newborns all the time and Newborn Poses can still often be achievable up to 6 weeks, though the poses may vary a bit. Each stage brings its own charm, and I’m here to work with you and your baby to capture those special moments. Let’s chat and make some magic happen!

Booking: What if my baby arrives early or late?No need to stress about your little one's arrival! It’s best to book while you’re still pregnant to avoid missing out. I only accept a limited number of due date bookings each month, so if you reach out after your baby is born, I might not be able to accommodate you. Once you are booked in, you will just need to contact me once your baby makes their grand entrance. Ensure you reach out within 48 hours, and we’ll schedule a session within the first three weeks of their life. This way, we can capture all those tiny features and adorable expressions that change so quickly. I can't wait to work with you and create beautiful memories of your new addition!
Embarking on Your Newborn Photography Journey:
When should I book?
​Ensure you plan your newborn photography session in advance as Newborns are best done between Birth - 3 Weeksally, start considering booking during your pregnancy to secure a guaranteed slot with Alana. Waiting until after the birth of your baby may pose challenges in scheduling or obtaining a session before 3 weeks. It's recommended to have the newborn photography. It is recommended to schedule your session between 5-21 days after birth. Securing your booking during pregnancy is optimal, allowing us to capture those adorable, sleepy poses unique to newborns.

Newborn Photography sessions are best done before the baby reaches 3 weeks of age, capturing them in their sleepy and curled-up phase. Beyond this timeframe, babies become more easily disturbed during sleep, making it challenging to achieve the authentic newborn poses and appearance. Additionally, there's a higher likelihood of colic or the onset of baby acne after the initial two to three weeks.

Important things to Consider​
Limited slots are offered each month for Newborn Photography, and we strongly advise securing your session as early as possible, as dates tend to fill up quickly!

If you don't book before your baby arrives, there's a higher likelihood that I may not be able to accommodate newborn photos, making it advisable to secure your spot in advance.
​
To confirm your session, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of booking. This deposit ensures the reservation of your spot for the scheduled newborn photography session once baby is born
​
Sessions are done in purplose built home studio in Clyde, I currently do not travel to customers homes.
Sessions take place on a weekday during school hours, I currently do not work on weekends
